How To – Create your IKEA DIY Adjustable Height Standing Desk!

How does it work? Simple.

Here’s all you need:

1.) Supports. You’ll need two of the IKEA Vika Artur adjustable height trestle supports (about $30 each) shown here (They are now called FINNVARD at most IKEAs). If you already have some around the house or apartment, great! You’re well on your way to better health.

2.) Table top. Pick out your favorite finish of the IKEA Vika Amon table tops shown here (They are now called LINNMON at most IKEAs). We like the flat white for it’s clean finish ($25.99 at our IKEA). Just make sure to get the larger Vika Amon top that is 29” deep in order to cover the depth of the Vika Artur supports.

3.) Order your standing desk kit here from DIYstandingDESKkit.com ($79 + shipping and sales tax for FL residents). The kit comes with two solid oak supports to replace the ones in the Vika Artur.

4.) When your kit arrives simply follow the Vika Artur instructions substituting the supports from your kit for the the Vika Artur supports [see pic] and you’ll have a great standing desk ready to go in just a few minutes.

5.) Adjust the height of the desk according to good Standing Desk Ergonomics (see pic).
